Counting Stations

Traffic counting stations are used to collect vehicular data, such as volume, speed, and vehicle classification. This is to help better understand traffic patterns to improve transportation systems throughout Massachusetts. The data collected also helps with planning infrastructure improvements and maintenance. Coviello Electric has maintained and installed counting stations on highway systems as well as secondary roadways. We have also installed a variety of pedestrian and bicycle counting stations in urban areas, suburban settings, bicycle paths, and rail trails across the State.
