This project includes furnishing and installing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) field-equipment along Interstates 95 and 495, and Routes 1, 2, 128, and 213 in MassDOT District 4. The work under consists of 16 Closed Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV) and four (4) Variable Message Signs (VMS). Program CCTV and VMS field devices communicate to the MassDOT Highway Operations Center (HOC) through cellular modems or single mode fiber optic communications and integrated into the existing software platforms at the HOC.
