Coviello Electric recently completed the installation of counting stations at several prominent trail locations, including the Twin Cities Rail Trail in Leominster, the Blackstone River Bikeway in Worcester, and Russell Street in Hadley. Each station is equipped with a post-mounted infrared sensor and embedded bicycle loops within the trail surface, enabling highly accurate monitoring of pedestrian and cyclist traffic. The counters are powered by a combination of solar and battery systems, ensuring dependable operation in a wide range of environmental conditions. These installations provide valuable data to support community planning, enhance trail infrastructure, and promote active transportation initiatives across the state.
